Our next sale is on the 9th July and includes a full range of antiques and collectables as well as a special section for Coins & 20th Century Design
The sale includes good selections of silver, gold, jewellery, collectables, furniture, paintings, ceramics & glass. The insatiable demand for antiques at online auctions is creating a very buoyant market - making this an excellent time to sell good quality antiques and collectables. Please do ensure you are observing all Covid-19 government safety guidelines including wearing a mask and by ensuring you are not suffering from any Covid symptons or have had any potential Covid contacts within the last two weeks.
Bidding at our Auctions
We are delighted to now be able to welcome a limited number of 'In Room' Buyers for our sales. Please telephone to make an appointment. Alternatively you can bid live online or by commission or telephone bids left with the auctioneer. The fully illustrated catalogue for our July sale will be available from the 2nd July. You can bid live here at our auctions via our website and we are also present on the online bidding platforms Easy Live Auctions and The-Saleroom.com. There is an additional online live bidding fee for these services. If you are confused by all the potential bidding options please telephone us and we will be happy to discuss the most suitable option for you.
Smiths provide an excellent in-house postage service for most small to medium sized items in the sale. Please see our postage page for further information or telephone us to check your item or items can be posted.
Our July sale will be open for viewing according to the current Covid restrictions in place at the time. Please preview our fully illustrated catalogue online available from the 2nd July and telephone 01531 821776 for an appointment. For condition reports and further enquiries please email the saleroom on firstname.lastname@example.org during the week of the sale.
Purchases can be collected from the saleroom door by appointment. Customers should wear a mask and use the sanitiser gel provided. Items can be paid for in advance via our online secure payment system, by bank transfer or by card at the saleroom door. We will be open on the Saturday morning after the sale 10am-12noon and then Monday to Thursday 10am-5pm. All items must be collected by the Thursday following the sale. Please note we do not open on Fridays.
We offer an excellent in house reasonably priced postage service for most small to medium items. Please ask for details if you are unsure about which items might be suitable for posting.
Entering Items for Auction
We are now open once again for valuations by appointment with a valuer in the saleroom. We can also provide a free valuation remotely from photographs sent by email or a home visit can be arranged for larger consignments. Our next sale will be on the 9th July and includes a full range of antiques as well as Specialist Sections for Coins and 20th Century Design.
Our auctions are selling extremely well online and we encourage vendors to consign good quality items to take advantage of this currently buoyant market.
